Food Pantry Volunteers Needed

The PATF food pantry is in need of volunteers who will be available on a consistent and on-going basis.  Even if you can only volunteer for 3 or 4 hour per week, they can use you.  With school starting and the kids being out of the house, this could be a great chance for you to get involved.

EL SHADDAI - Street Child Rescue

Unity Church is working in close partnership with El Shaddai Street Child Rescue and Orphanage to make a difference in the lives of children being rescued from the streets of Goa, India.  For detailed information about this missions outreach organization Click HERE.

YoungLives - Mentoring and supporting teen moms

Treating each mom and her child or children with unconditional love and respect, YoungLives offers teen moms relief from the isolation and struggle of their daily lives and hope for the future. YoungLives mentors provide friendship, parenting advice and help meeting the practical demands of raising a child. East Liberty Family Health Care Center

SHOEBOX OUTREACH - Operation Christmas Child

This year was an unprecedented success.  Our church family packed a record 160+ shoeboxes - a 40% increase over last year.  In these tough economic times, you came through and demonstrated what Unity Church is all about.  Thank you!!  If anyone still wants to turn in a shoebox or make a donation, contact Melody or Mike Bucci.

Toy Drive - Due Date Approaching

If you are participating in the Toy Drive, please check your ornament.  Some toys are due this weekend (the 7th) and others are due next weekend (the 14th).  Your ornament also indicates whether your gift should be wrapped or unwrapped.

Thanksgiving Food Drive - Update

A very special THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year’s food drive a success.  We collected, sorted, and delivered enough food to help stock three different food pantries.  Thank you for donating your time (on such a cold weekend).

Making a difference in Iraq

Eric Seitz, a member of our congregation who is currently serving in Iraq has asked for our help.  We will be collecting shoes, coats, and other winter items to help families in Iraq.  We will also be collecting money to help with the shipping cost.  Check out Eric’s website for more information:
