To echo the words of the Apostle: “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you.” (Romans 1:8)

Words are inadequate to convey the full measure of our gratitude to you. It is impossible to express the overflowing joy for the wonderful and memorable event you prepared for Barbara and me commemorating my 20th anniversary as your pastor. I can’t believe you were able to keep something of this magnitude a secret from me. What you prepared for us, what you did for us, went beyond anything we could have hoped for or imagined — All of the planning, the reception, the photo album; all of it spoke volumes to us.

And speaking of volumes, how can we ever thank you enough for that car?!!!! We are overwhelmed by the generosity of God’s people. Words fail us, they are inadequate; we can’t express what we

feel. It was an amazingly generous gift. It met our needs at a time when we didn’t know how we were going to manage the purchase of new car. We were stunned into silence. And we realize that it meant

sacrificial generosity on the part of so many. Believe me, it is appreciated.

I truly thank God for each and every one of you. I thank him for every day of the past 20 years that he has allowed me the privilege to be your pastor. There is no group of people in the country that I

would rather serve than the loving and caring people of Unity Church. We are so pleased with the car, but even more so, we cherish what it means – the love, prayers and support of our congregation.
